A special operation will be launched today (04) to ascertain whether those who report to the duty stations for essential services are actually in those places, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said.
He stated that six teams of officers will conduct investigations today.
The investigations are being carried out based on information obtained at the entrances to Colombo.
Meanwhile, the sticker system introduced by the police to identify vehicles traveling for essential services is still in operation today (04).
