‘So Sri Lanka IRONMAN Colombo’: Another success story

Male solo winner Olivier Godart

February 24 saw 775 tri-athletes from 58 countries taking part in “So Sri Lanka IRONMAN 70.3 Colombo”. The race began by 6 a.m. with a 1.9 km swim at Galle Face, followed by a 90 km three-loop through the Colombo Port, Colombo Fort Area, and Marine Drive, and finishing with a two-loop half-marathon through the Colombo Port that ended at Galle Face Green.
The flat and fast course through the bustling Colombo city was enjoyed by both the participants and spectators, with the race concluding at 3 p.m.
The winners:
Male solo: 1. Olivier Godart (Luxembourg), 2. Tim Ballintine (Australia), and 3. Pierre Lafayeedney (UK)
Female solo: 1. Ling Er Choo (Singapore), 2. Kimberly Mckinney (Australia), and 3. Inge Prasetyo (Indonesia)
Male relay: 1. Team Sri Lanka Navy, 2. Team Foundation Of Goodness (Sri Lanka), and 3. Team Lekka Tri (UAE)
