Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa has said that plans have been made to set up 25 Youth Hubs covering all districts, the Prime Minister's Office said today.
At a meeting held with the Prime Minister and State Minister Vidura Wickramanayake, Minister Rajapaksa said the focus of the youth hub is to provide guidance to the youth among many other services.
"We can utilize existing buildings and institutions for this purpose. It is a waste to spend money to construct facilities anew. We have paid our attention to the SAARC cultural centre building at Matara which has been abandoned.
