Sri Lanka reports 6th COVID-19 death

An 88-year-old male COVID-19 patient has died at the Infectious Diseases Hospital(IDH) this morning, raising the number of deaths caused by the virus up to six in the country. The first death related to COVID-19 was reported on the 28th of March from IDH, Angoda. The second death was reported from Negombo on the 30th of March. The third and fourth death was reported on the 1st and 2nd of April respectively. The 5th death was reported on the 4th of April from the Welikanda Hospital. The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases have risen to 178. The total number of recovered patients stands at 38 while more than 250 persons are currently under observation across hospitals in the country.
