Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Health a short while ago confirmed the country’s 9th Covid-19 death.
Director General of Health Services Dr. Anil Jasinghe stated that a 52-year-old man, a coronavirus-infected patient, had died
while receiving treatment at the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH).
The deceased was a resident of Colombo 15, Jasinghe added.
The country's 8th Covid-19 related death was reported yesterday (4).
The diseases was a 72-year-old woman from Polpithigama in Kurunegala. She had died while receiving treatment at the Homagama Hospital yesterday.
She is the first female to die from Covid-19 in Sri Lanka. He remains were cremated at the Kotikawatte
Cemetery yesterday.
