President Ranil Wickremesinghe says the Value-Added Tax (VAT) will be increased effective from September 01.
He made this remark presenting the Appropriation (Amendment) Bill, for the remainder of the fiscal year 2022, to the parliament a short while ago today (30).
Accordingly, the VAT will be increased from 12% to 15%, he added.
