SriLankan Airlines to continue China flights

29 Jan 2020

SriLankan Airlines has no plans of suspending flights to and from China at the moment, reliable sources told The Sunday Morning Business a short while ago. SriLankan Airlines currently operates four flights a week to Beijing, four flights a week to Shanghai and daily flights to Canton.

Earlier today (29), UK's national carrier British Airways suspended all direct flights to and from mainland China due to the coronavirus outbreak, international media reported.

This followed the UK Foreign Office's advise to UK citizens against all but essential travel to China. The virus has caused more than 100 deaths, spreading across China and to at least 16 other countries.
