SriLankan brings 163 students stranded in India

A SriLankan special flight UL 194 carrying 163 students from Mumbai, India landed at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) this afternoon. The 163 students will be directed to quarantine centres. Yesterday (24),  76 students from Kathmandu, Nepal were repatriated. 101 Sri Lankan students from Amritsar, India were repatriated on Thursday (23). 113 Sri Lankan students were repatriated from Pakistan on Tuesday (21). The students were stranded in Lahore and Karachi amid the coronavirus outbreak. The government made arrangements to bring back Sri Lankan students stranded in India, Pakistan, and Nepal following numerous requests made by them after airports were closed due to Covid-19.
