The Board and Management of SriLankan Airlines have taken a decision to relocate all its corporate offices at the World Trade Centre to its main operational hub in Katunayake, SriLankan Airlines said in a statement today.
However, the Management of SriLankan Airlines said that none of the key sales and customer centric frontline operations will be relocated contrary to recent media reports.
Accordingly, SriLankan Sales, FlySmiLes, the Global Contact Center and the Cargo Sales offices will continue to operate from their current locations in Colombo i.e. Level 3 - World Trade Centre, Iceland Building - Colombo 3 and De Vos Avenue - Colombo 4 in order to provide convenient and direct customer access.
The initiative to shift the corporate offices would result in a cost saving of approximately Rupees 75 million per annum, the Airline said.
The Airline said that the move will make its back office operations much more efficient.
