Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) and Attorney-at-Law Ruwan Gunasekera has been appointed the Director of the Legal Division of the Sri Lanka Police.
The appointment was made by Inspector General of Police (IGP) C.D. Wickramaratne, the Police Media Division said in a statement.
The appointment is effective from 22 August, subject to the approval of the Secretary of the Ministry of Public Security.
