State and Private sector office hours are to be revised following consultation from relevant parties , Transport Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said today.
He said the Ministry has proposed that State sector employee office hours be set from 9 am to 4.45 pm. while private sector office hours be set from 9.45 am and 6.45 pm.
"School times will remain unchanged," Amaraweera added.
He said the Ministry through the proposals hopes to promote social distancing to prevent the spread of Covid-19, reduce traffic and improve efficiency of state sector employees.
