State Minister of Prison Reforms & Prisoners' Rehabilitation Sudarshani Fernandopulle said today that they suspected an invisible hand behind the tense situation erupted at the Mahara Prison last evening.
Speaking in Parliament, the State Minister said investigations would be handed over to the CID to look into the incident.
She said many protests and unrests were reported at a number of prison across the country in the recent past.
