09 Apr 2021

A stock of narcotics was found in five parcels sent to the Colombo Central Mail Exchange from three foreign countries. Sri Lanka Customs said that 278 grams of kush and 400 tablets of methamphetamine were found in the parcels sent to five fake addresses in the country. It is reported that the drugs worth around Rs. 7 million had been sent from the United States, England and Germany. As the owners did not come to the Central Mail Exchange to receive the parcels, the customs officers found the stock of narcotics. The drugs were handed over to the Police Narcotics Division by the Customs Narcotics Division for further investigations, the Sri Lanka Customs said.
