State Minister of Primary Healthcare, Epidemics and Covid Disease Control Sudarshini Fernandopulle has tendered her resignation letter to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa today (04).
Fernandopulle cited reasons to her decision as being the constant rejection from the citizens of Sri Lanka and that she has decided to step down from her position with immediate effect.
"The people of the nation have expressed their rejection towards the government and the current economic crisis has caused added pressure to which I am unable to continue in my state ministerial position and would like to tender my resignation with immediate effect, " Fernandopulle's letter mentioned.
