However, the Chinese envoy noted that his visit to the North was planned since assuming duties as Sri Lanka’s ambassador, but that he was unable to carry out the plan due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Speaking to a select group of newspaper editors last week, Zhenhong said that he “visited the North of the island and not the South of any other country”.
