The Matara Divisional Secretary was faced with a difficult situation when the hospital staff where she was admitted for treatment had held her in the operating theatre demanding fuel for health sector workers.
The hospital staff had held the Divisional Secretary in the theatre claiming that the staff had not been given the promised fuel stocks when they had arrived at the fuel stations assigned to pump fuel to health sector workers’ vehicles.
