Amidst the skyrocketing commodity prices and the overall increase in cost of living, the Government had made an interesting statement about the use of coconuts by the public.
Coconut Research Board Head Prof. Saranga Alahapperuma had reportedly stated that a house would require only half a coconut for consumption per day if properly utilised.
He had stated that there was wastage of around 30% of the coconut being consumed in houses.
