A LP gas cylinder was delivered to Co-Cabinet Spokesperson Minister Ramesh Pathirana’s residence last week.
Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) General Secretary of the Galle District Kanishka de Lanerolle last week carried an empty Laugfs gas cylinder to the Minister’s residence, claiming there was a massive shortage of domestic gas cylinders and that he expected Pathirana to intervene in the matter.
De Lanerolle, after carrying the cylinder to Pathirana’s residence, had claimed that he had visited many places in Galle and had failed to purchase a gas cylinder.
The Minister had not been home at the time.
However, those who were at the residence had afterwards invited de Lanerolle inside to have a cup of tea.
