A group of protestors last week surrounded the residence of State Minister D.B. Herath’s residence in Wariyapola. However, the Police personnel deployed at the residence for security had managed to disperse the protestors since the State Minister had not been home at the time.
However, the protestors had attempted to break down the Police barricade outside the house. A group of Herath’s supporters who had been at the premises at the time had also intervened. The Police had managed to prevent a clash between the two groups.
