Former Secretary to the President Dr. P.B. Jayasundera has reportedly sent a WhatsApp message to a friend noting the plight of the country.
Jayasundera had sent the message to his friend a few days prior to his resignation from the post, social media reports stated.
According to the reports, this friend, who is currently overseas, had messaged Jayasundera to inquire about the goings-on in Sri Lanka after hearing of his [Jayasundera’s] resignation.
Jayasundera has however responded in six simple words: “Only God can save our country,” he has reportedly stated in the message.
