Pivithuru Hela Urumaya (PHU) Leader Minister Udaya Gammanpila, last week, launched a programme to plant trees amounting to the number of preferential votes polled by him at the 2020 general election.
The programme was part of an election pledge by Gammanpila.
Accordingly, the Minister had initiated a programme to plant 136,336 plants, which is the number of preferential votes polled by him.
