Governing party MP S.B. Dissanayake, who has been making controversial statements during the past few months, has once again made a similar statement regarding his political future.
During a discussion on an electronic media channel, Dissanayake had said that he will be the one to decide the end of his political career and that neither the President nor the Prime Minister could make that decision for him.
According to the MP, he had joined the governing Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) on a request made by the party.
As for a cabinet portfolio, Dissanayake had said that he would have to think about it even if he is offered a portfolio, as he was not eager to accept anything that is offered.
