The main Opposition, Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) is looking to meet President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to discuss the current Covid-19 situation in the country.
The SJB has decided that a delegation led by Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa should meet with the President and discuss the present situation in the country and also discuss a mechanism where the Opposition, together with the Government, could address the situation.
United National Party (UNP) Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe also met with the President recently and discussed how all parties could unite and address the present crisis situation.
Wickremesinghe had also requested the President to convene a meeting of all political party leaders to discuss the Covid-19 pandemic situation.
