Sunny Side Up: State Minister’s search for hot water

22 Aug 2021

A state minister, who last week tested positive for Covid-19, had a list of priorities when deciding on “his preferred” hospital for treatment.  Soon after the State Minister was identified as a Covid-19 patient, members of his family were engaged in finding a suitable hospital for his treatment. During this search, several family members had telephoned the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH) to inquire about its Covid-19 treatment facility.  However, one of the key requirements of the State Minister was a hot water facility.  Upon being informed by hospital officials that they did not have hot water facilities, the State Minister’s family had decided that IDH was not the place he should receive treatment.
