The driver of the truck that fled after running over two Army officers has been arrested today, three days after the accident, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said.
The truck that was transporting a consignment of satinwood illegally had run over two Army officers and fled. "It was on the 18th in the Omanthai area in Vavuniya. The search was carried out to find the suspect who had fled leaving the truck halfway," the Spokesman said. The arrested suspect is to be produced before the Vavuniya Magistrate's Court today.
