A 40-year-old suspect has been arrested with 2 kilograms of heroin by the Special Task Force (STF) officials in Rajagiriya yesterday.
The suspect has been handed over to the Police Narcotic Bureau (PNB) for further investigations.
Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said today that the PNB seeks to obtain a detention order to keep the suspect in custody.
