A 43-year-old man was arrested with 750 grams of heroin in a raid carried out in the Pinwatta area in Panadura yesterday (06).
The raid was carried out by the Kalutara Divisional Crime Investigation Unit.
The value of the drugs is close to Rs. 7.5 million, said Police Media Spokesman, Senior DIG Ajith Rohana.
During the interrogation of the suspect, it has been revealed that the suspect is a disciple of the drug dealer Salidu.
The suspect is to be detained for 7 days and further questioned.
A few weeks ago, a Sub Inspector of Police was arrested while transporting a consignment of narcotics.
