Police have raided a birthday party held at a hotel in the Kesbewa area in violation of travel restrictions.
The Kesbewa Police OIC said that 10 persons including 5 women were arrested.
The arrested persons are due to be produced before the Kesbewa Magistrate's Court today (09).
Meanwhile, the Anuradhapura Police launched an investigation this morning following a complaint that a stock of liquor had gone missing from the liquor store of a Sathosa branch at the Market Place in Anuradhapura.
Accordingly, as soon as the investigation began, the excise officers had sealed the Sathosa branch.
