Swiss Embassy employee taken to Mental Health Institute, Angoda

The Swiss Embassy employee who is currently in remand custody was taken to the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) earlier today(19). The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested the Swiss Embassy staffer and produced her before court on 16 December upon the instruction of the Attorney General. The Attorney General had ordered the CID to pronounce the Swiss Embassy employee as a suspect for a case of exciting disaffection against the Government and fabricating false evidence to be used in a future judicial proceeding. Following the arrest the Swiss Embassy staffer was remanded until 30 December. On 16th of December, the Swiss Embassy staffer was produced to the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) in Angoda for a mental health examination. The Swiss Embassy staffer had claimed she was abducted, harassed and questioned by an unidentified group on the 25 of November.
