The Lanka Private Tanker Owners and the Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminals Ltd (CPSTL) have provided different reasons for the lack of fuel today.
According to the CPSTL Chairman Major General R.M.W. Zoysa, fuel will not be distributed to filling stations today as all employees have been given leave in view of Vesak.
However, the Lanka Private Tanker Owners claim that fuel is not being issued to petrol sheds today due to a shortage. They also remarked that fuel distribution will be uncertain tomorrow (16) as well.
