Protect Sri Lanka Telecom Trade Union staged a protest today (16) in front of SLT headquarters.
Trade union action was taken against SLT due to the delay in releasing the investigations report which probed into the Rs. 9 billion losses the group incurred over the past years.
Meanwhile SLT had also curtailed the benefits of long standing members of the Company indicating the losses.
However, the trade union revealed that in spite of the mounting losses recorded few of the top officials hosted a strategy meeting in a hotel in Nuwaraeliya spending exuberant amounts.
