Approximately 10 children have died at the Lady Ridgeway Children's' Hospital due to infection of the Covid-19 virus, said the Director of the hospital Dr. G. S. Wijesuriya.
He points out that the number of children reported to be infected with Covid is around 490.
"The Lady Ridgeway Children's Hospital reported about 490 infected children with the Covid virus. None of these patients were infected in the hospital. They were infected in the community, and about 10 children died of Covid infection at the hospital alone," he said.
