Ten judiciary reforms to be rolled out within the coming months: Ali Sabry

Speaking at the International Development Partners Dialogue hosted by the Ministry of Justice today (05), the Minister of Justice Ali Sabry mentioned that 10 judiciary reforms will be rolled out in the near future. He stated that with regard to these reforms, two government committees have already submitted their reports. The Minister also stated that a road map has been presented for the next 15 months to improve the judiciary by another 93 judges. Further, he stressed the importance of rolling out legal reforms, with a number of committees looking into it. Commenting on the main objective of the government, he stated that efficiency should be driven into all institutions involved in the administration of justice. The event was attended by heads and representatives of international organizations and missions including UNDP, UNICEF, UNFPA, Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), The Asia Foundation, International Organization for Migration (IOM), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Asian Development Bank (ADB), International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), USAID, The World Bank, The European Union, Switzerland, and Australia. Further serving as a forum, participating organizations also planned and partnered with the Ministry of Justice to attain the objectives of the justice sector reform drive.
