Terror charge against Kamer dropped

19 Oct 2018

Australian authorities have today (19) dropped the terror charges that were leveled against Mohomad Kamer Nizamdeen.
Kamer's case was taken up at the Sydney Central Local Court this morning.
According to family sources, the court had dropped the charges after authorities had revealed to courts that there was no evidence to proceed with the investigation.
Kamer's counsel Moustafa Kheir told the media outside the courthouse that he would take measures to seek justice for Kamer in the New South Wales Supreme Court and would seek legal costs and compensation.

According to Kheir, Kamer’s costs application was set down for hearing on 23 November in the Central Local Court.

Kamer was released on bail on 28 September after spending several weeks behind bars after he was accused of being involved in a terror plot.
