The Thambuththegama Economic Centre was closed today at 12 noon until further notice.
The decision was made to avoid large crowds from gathering at the centre.
A mechanism has been introduced where essential commodities will be transported to the Divisional Secretariats where the registered merchants could unload them and take them away.
Dambulla Dedicated Economic Centre was also closed off yesterday until further notice.
