Health Minister Pavithra Devi Wanniarachchi had recently visited a popular Hindu kovil in the Mullaitivu area to fulfil a vow, it is learnt.
The kovil in Wattappalai is reportedly a shrine for the Kanakki Amman deity, social media reports stated last week.
Reports further stated that the Minister’s family members had also participated in the religious rituals.
Although details of the ritual are not known, social media reports stated that the Minister had fulfilled a vow that had been made when she was receiving treatment for Covid-19 earlier this year.
