St. Sebastian’s College, Moratuwa and St. Anthony’s College, Wattala recorded their third win in the first round of their Under-19 Division-I Tier A Inter-schools Limited-overs cricket tournament, conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association (SLSCA), yesterday (31 March).

Royal College - Colombo, Mahanama - Colombo, and Richmond - Galle lead the points table, also with three wins, in their Tier A first round.

St. Peter’s and Isipathana in Colombo and St. Anthony’s, Wattala lead the points table, with three wins in the first round, of their Div.-I Tier B.

Sri Lanka Youth cap Chamindu Wickramsinghe, the left-handed opener of St. Anthony’s, Katugastota, guided his school to win over S. Thomas’, Mt. Lavinia. He scored a valuable 112 runs off 61 balls with 19 boundaries and three sixes.

Shehan Thennakoon, Skipper of Ibbagamuwa Model School, scored 158 runs and took 5/8 against S.W.R.D. Bandaranayake National School, Panduwasnuwara.
