300 individuals who had contact with the COVID-19 patient who died yesterday(1) have been directed to the Punani quarantine centre, Army Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva said.
Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi said the nephew and grandson of the diseased had also tested positive.
The disease was a 73 year old male form Maradana in Colombo.
The patient was diagnosed with the COVID-19 while being treated at the Sri Jayewardenepura General Hospital.
The patient was pronounced dead at the time of his transfer to the IDH, Angoda.
