Dhammika Bandara yesterday responded to the reports of two people being infected with COVID-19 despite having consumed his "local cure".
In a post on his official Facebook page, Bandara said that the two persons infected had also consumed “Ritigala Syrup”, another remedy for COVID-19, in addition to his syrup.
"This is why they have tested positive for COVID-19," he said.
Bandara claimed that the effectiveness of his syrup was diluted due to the other syrup.
"I requested the public not to lose faith in the medicine as a result of one positive case," he said.
