The Terrorist Investigation Division (TID) has arrested three persons who were involved in extremist classes organized by Zaharan Hashim and his followers in connection with the Easter Sunday attack.
Among the suspects arrested yesterday (22) in the Kekunagolla area in Kuliyapitiya was the father of Zaharan Hashim's wife, police said.
The arrested suspects are aged 40, 52 and 55.
Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana stated that the suspects are being further questioned on detention orders.
Meanwhile, another suspect was arrested by the Terrorist Investigation Division in Vavuniya yesterday.
The suspect is reportedly a 42-year-old man, the police spokesman said.
The Police Media Spokesman further stated that it has been reported that the arrested suspect had forged identity cards and fake passports in the name of the slain LTTE cadres and sent them abroad.
The suspect is being further questioned on detention orders.
