Three killed in train collisions yesterday, police warns of increasing deaths

Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana stated that there is an increase in the number of deaths due to train collisions. The police spokesman said that three persons were killed when a train collided with them at three places yesterday (19). A 60-year-old man was hit and killed by a train on the railway track between Boossa and Gintota. A 71-year-old man was killed when a train traveling from Puttalam to Colombo collided with him in the Puttalam area. Meanwhile, a woman was killed when she was hit by a train in the Mihiripenna area in Talpe in the Habaraduwa Police Division. The police spokesman said that the identity of the woman has not been identified yet. Habaraduwa police are conducting further investigations.
