Three minute silence for the dead

In remembrance of those killed in Sunday's attacks in Sri Lanka, a three-minute silence will be observed nation-wide from 8:30 a.m today (23). In addition, the general public has been requested to display a white flag outside their houses in light of Sri Lanka's national day of mourning in remembrance of the victims of the Easter Sunday bombings. A state of emergency was declared island-wide by President Maithripala Sirisena as a Gazette Extraordinary to maintain public security in Sri Lanka.
