Tourism bubble between Sri Lanka and India not suspended: Minister

Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga has stated that the proposed tourist air bubble between India and Sri Lanka has not been suspended.

He pointed out that it is being implemented with the aim of boosting the tourism industry between the two countries.

The Minister further said that the decision to postpone the visit to Kushinagar was taken due to the prevailing Covid situation in India.

The launch of the bubble hopes to resume flights between the two countries under the Tourist Air Bubble. Accordingly, the activities of the tourist air bubble will be activated, the Minister further stated.
