Tourist Police launches poster campaign to promote safe travel

  A poster campaign aiming to create awareness on how to be cautious while traveling across the island and important contact details in an emergency situation was launched by Tourist Police Division, Colombo with the assistance of British High Commission in Sri Lanka The Campaign will cover nearly 45 identified railway stations, main bus stops, Bandaranayake International Airport and popular tourist destinations across the country. The Poster was ceremoniously launched at the Fort Railway Station last week by the Consular Regional Director of British High Commission Ms. Helan Gate and Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority Chairman Mr. Kishu Gomes. DIG Crime, Organized Crime and Legal Mr. Kamal Silva, Director Police Tourist Division Mr. J.S Weeresekara, OIC Police Tourist Division, CI Prabath Vidanagama, Officials of SLTDA and Police Tourist Division were among the attendees.
