The scheduled two-day railway strike has been temporarily suspended following assurances given by Transport Minister Arjuna Ranatunga.
After discussions held today with the Minister, the collective Railway Trade Unions have decided to suspend their strike after solutions being presented to their demands with regards to salary anomalies before 30 January.
