Travellers returning to England from SL no longer need to quarantine

20 Nov 2020

Travellers returning to England from Sri Lanka and Israel will no longer need to quarantine from Saturday, BBC reported. Namibia, Rwanda, the US Virgin Islands, Uruguay, Bonaire, St Eustatius and Saba and the Northern Mariana Islands were also added to the list. However, current rules ban travel abroad unless for specific reasons. The exemption also applies to those returning to Wales and Northern Ireland, but people returning to Scotland will need to self-isolate. No countries have been removed from the list, which is updated weekly by the Department for Transport. The DfT said the additions are due to "a decrease in risk from coronavirus in these countries".
