The Minister of Health Pavithra Wanniarachchi yesterday (06) stated in Parliament that approval has been granted to commence tuition classes in the Western Province after April 12.
The Minister also said that the Director General of Health Services has issued the Health Guidelines for the commencement of tuition classes on January 21.
Accordingly, tuition classes can be started two weeks after the commencement of schools and the number of students in a class should be limited to a maximum of 100 at a time, the Minister said.
The distance between seats should always be maintained at one meter and in cases where the seating capacity is less than 100, the number of students should not exceed 50 per cent of the total seating capacity.
