A 21-day Pirith recital will be held continuously at the Independence Square premises in Colombo to invoke blessings to the people of Sri Lanka amid the Covid-19 pandemis.
The reliegious activities were initiated with the participation of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa yesterday (18) evening after the President made the deposit of the Sadathuka Karanduwa and invited the Maha Sangha to commence the Pirith recital.
Two hundred Aaranyavasi Maha Sangha attended the Pirith and sermon held under the patronage and patronage of Sri Kalyana Yogash Ramadha Maha Nikaya Sri Lanka.
