The police Special Task Force (STF) personnel have seized 1,559 kilos of illegally imported turmeric in Dematagoda last night, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said.
He said two suspects were arrested with the turmeric stock and a lorry has also been taken into custody.
The DIG said the seized stock was the second largest illegally imported turmeric stock to the country.
