Litro Gas Lanka Ltd. announced yesterday (23) that a payment of $ 6.5 million has been made for two shipments of liquefied petroleum (LP) gas, but that there will be no distribution of domestic LP gas cylinders today (24).
Litro Chairman Vijitha Herath said that the payment had been made for a total of 7,500 metric tonnes (MT) of gas and that out of this the first shipment of 3,500 metric tonnes is scheduled to arrive in Colombo on Thursday (26).
However, since there will not be any distribution, the company requested consumers not to stand in gas queues today.
